A Common Problem
Many of the patients treated at Exeter Chiropractic Clinic have low back pain. The British Chiropractic Association carried out a survey in 2004 and found that 80% of the population will suffer from back pain at some point in their lives. It can affect people of any age, from teenagers to pensioners.
What Causes Back Pain
Low back pain can occur from long term issues such as bad posture accentuated by prolonged sitting times, lifting or sporting injuries and degenerative changes to name a few. Pain is often not the only symptom relating to the low back; patients often come to the clinic with aching, stiffness, tightness, leg pain and pins and needles.
How Can Chiropractic Help ?
Many research studies have shown that chiropractic is effective in the treatment of acute (sudden onset and severe) and chronic (long lasting or recurrent) low back pain.
